Casa Vicens
Casa Vicens, Gaudí's first house and first significant work, offers visitors a glimpse into one of the key pieces of Antoni Gaudí's artistic career: the work that marked his starting point, an architectural gem declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2005. Built between 1883 and 1885 for Manuel Vicens, Casa Vicens is one of the first masterpieces of Modernism, anticipating Gaudí's later work and a vivid example of the spirit of aesthetic renewal that swept through Europe at the end of the 19th century. Fundació Cabanas – Casa Museu - Cal Gerrer
The House Museum - Cal Gerrer is an old ceramics factory converted into a museum space, with a very original modernist-inspired façade. It has four exhibitions, three of them permanent: the history of the factory, which dates back to the mid-19th century. XIX; the life and work of the Cabanas-Alibau artist brothers; and a private collection of objects related to Marilyn Monroe that is unique in Europe. In addition, from its viewpoint it offers the best views of the Monastery of Sant Cugat.
